Max Gläser’s Last Legato

$61.00 Sold Out

"Max Gläser’s Last Legato" | Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany | 2016

There is a treasure hidden deep within a thicket - behind impenetrable clouds of green sits the former home of glassmaker Max Gläser. Constructed in 1929 by Stuttgart architect Hans Herkommer, the cubic building is a decaying shell of what was once a grand estate, unique to the Rheinland-Pfalz. From within, variegated streaks of color – blue, green, black, and yellow – stretch across the crumbling walls. Against the moldy façade, echoes travel across the untouched piano keys
